Editorial Fennel

The pages of this essay combine knowledge of the history and theory of contemporary arts with cultural activism. A cascade of reflections on the need to break with a whole series of consensuses of the great power that we carry: museums, the adoration for the patina of the passage of time, the cultural dirigisme of the most ignorant, the defense of cultural industries as the greatest exponent of a society’s abulia…

The book has the collaboration of several artists who have lent their graphic work to be reproduced: Nora Ancarola, David Ribas, Xesco Mercé, David Torrents, Joan Codina Donaire, Ro Caminal, Marga Ximenez, Gonzalo Elvira, Ferran Garcia Sevilla, Nil Nebot and Steven Quiñónez, Àlvar Calvet, Xuquin (Aura Gumà) and Lajarlei (Susana Domínguez).

Its presentation will feature the participation of Joan Maria Minguet , the author, Roser Sanjuan , from the Center d’Art la Panera, J esús Navarro , director of MORERA, and Josep Gelonch , editor.
