MORERA Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Lleida
This itinerary invites you to discover the artistic avant-gardes of the first decades of the 20th century through the works of Lleida artists present in the MORERA collection. The tour allows you to understand how movements such as surrealism transformed the way we understand art, opening the door to new forms of expression based on imagination, dreams, chance and the unconscious.
By observing the works, students will learn about some of the creative resources used by the surrealists, such as free association of ideas, impossible objects, visual games or automatic writing. These strategies will serve as inspiration to develop a workshop in which art and poetry will dialogue to give rise to unexpected personal creations.
The methodology prioritizes experimentation and creative freedom, fostering a space where there are no unique answers and where error becomes an opportunity to discover new expressive possibilities.
The activity especially develops artistic and cultural competence , personal and social competence and communicative competence, enhancing imagination, symbolic capacity and confidence in creative processes.
Curricularly, it establishes relationships with Artistic Education, Visual and Plastic Education, Literature, Philosophy and Art History, showing the interrelationship between the different creative disciplines.
It mainly contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 3 (Health and Well-being), promoting creativity, emotional expression and the comprehensive development of students.
