MORERA Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Lleida
Through a selection of works from the MORERA collection, students will observe how chromatic decisions vary according to the historical context, artistic movements or expressive intentions of each artist. During the visit, concepts such as primary and secondary colors, warm and cold colors, contrast, harmony, color symbolism and visual perception will be introduced.
The tour culminates with an experimental workshop where participants investigate the possibilities of color. Experimentation allows for an experiential understanding of scientific and artistic concepts that would be difficult to assimilate from theory alone.
The activity promotes creativity, observation, the ability to experiment and the resolution of small artistic challenges, while enhancing confidence in personal creative processes.
Curricularly, it contributes to the development of the skills inherent in Artistic Education, Visual and Plastic Education and also establishes connections with Natural Sciences, especially with regard to light, visual perception and the physical properties of color.
The proposal especially contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 3 (Health and Well-being), understanding creativity and artistic expression as tools that promote emotional development and personal well-being.
