An open house night

Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight

The Night of Museums in Lleida celebrates its coming of age this year, eighteen years of history that consolidate it as a leading cultural event in the city. Over the years, the initiative has offered hundreds of activities and exhibitions, with a great public reception, which have allowed the people of Lleida to rediscover the city’s heritage and enjoy diverse, original and creative cultural proposals.

The Night of Museums is a European initiative promoted by the French Ministry of Culture, with the support of ICOM and the Council of Europe, which simultaneously opens museums at night and promotes a shared cultural experience on an international scale. Through this initiative, Lleida is integrated into a network of nearly 3,000 museums in thirty countries, projecting itself as a dynamic, open and contemporary cultural space.

In this edition, the museums and facilities of the capital of the West are once again offering a program of activities for all audiences and open days. This year, the participation reaches twelve spaces, the highest figure to date. We invite you to experience a night to discover the museums and cultural facilities of the city in a different way and let yourself be surprised by culture.

CHAIR From nature to measure” by Pep Aymerich
Action in which Pep Aymerich builds a chair from a chestnut trunk using traditional tools and techniques. The work stands out for its simplicity, rhythm and care of gesture, generating in the viewer the desire to see the final result and turning the artisanal process into a harmonious experience that unites nature and craft.
