Discover the Morera collection wherever you are

The Jaume Morera Art Museum, continuing the art-historical dissemination work that it promotes through social networks (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook), this month presents three new Art Capsules to spread its collection. On this occasion, three personalities from Lleida linked to the world of culture are in charge of bringing some of the works held by the Museum closer to the public.

The audiovisual Capsule that gives the starting point to the presentation of these contents stars the actress Lara Díez i Quintanilla (1985, Lleida), who brings the sculpture Untitled V (2004), from the series Trabajos verticales, closer to the public , by Miguel Pablo and Manuel Pedro Rosado (MP & MP Rosado). Díez is a member of the companies La Volcànica and RetreTTeatre, and you’ve probably seen him on TV3’s Polònia programme, imitating Anna Gabriel, Inés Arrimadas or Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

On the following three Tuesdays, a new Art Capsule will be published on the Museum’s social media profiles. The next protagonist will be the historian and writer Albert Villaró (1964, La Seu d’Urgell), known for works such as The Ambassadors (Destino) and The Nordic Company (Columna). On Tuesday, August 9, Villaró will bring us closer to the representation of mountains through a study of the 1891-1892 work Picos de Najarra (Guadarrama), by Jaume Morera.

The last one in charge of delving into the Museum’s collection will be the composer, guitarist and singer of the group Renaldo&Clara, Clara Viñals (1990, Lleida), who on Tuesday 16 August will introduce us to one of the key figures of modernism , Xavier Gosé, talking about the 1913 work Sobre la nieve.

Three personalities from Lleida linked to the world of culture who will accompany us to discover – each from their own perspective – some representative works of art that are kept by the Jaume Morera Art Museum.
