    Summary

Nou plast poems is the publication that brings together the creations of the sculptor Leandre Cristòfol (Os de Balaguer, 1908 – Lleida, 1998) and those of the poet and writer Guillem Viladot (Agramunt, 1922 – Barcelona, 1999) , two of the figures who they represent the artistic avant-garde of the post-war period in the lands of Ponent. In this publication, nine sculptures are linked with nine poems that relate concrete poetry to experimental sculpture, two languages that were born escaping the limitations imposed during the fifties and sixties in Spain.

The friendship between the two figures encouraged several collaborations, but it was not until the publication of the book Nou plast poemes , in 1965, that a shared project materialized. The work was published by what would become, years later, the publishing house of Agramunt Lo Pardal, and became the first publication of experimental poetry in the State .

Nou plast poems is also a record of the thinking of the time by two avant-garde figures, a reflection of Cristòfol i Viladot’s view on topics such as the church, rural life and the escape from the norm through of artistic experimentation.
